Best Running Equipment?
Apologies if this isn't in the right spot, I looked at the rules and such and couldn't come up with a better place to put it.
But anyways, I'm, gonna try to start running using a R/D character. The build uses Vow of Silence and three ranger stances (if necessary I'll post it) and was wondering what weapon would be best to run with. Cause I see various people using staffs then some use an axe and shield.
Which would be better for my runner, and what mods should I get?

If you can, get dual modded Enchant/Stance shield.

If you're not using "I am Unstoppable", you might consider a second shield with a "Swift as the Wind" (Cripple -20%), depending on area.

you would want to use any weapon with +20% enchant to keep VoS up as long as possible

Okay, thanks for all the replies guys.
Right now I'm modding out a staff to give it a try.
These are the bonuses I'm getting;
+10e
HSR 20%
+15/-1e
+30hp
+20% enchant
You think that'll hold me over?
Also, what exactly is a "-2 while in stance" shield?

A +15/-1 staff is a bad idea for your only weapon. After 45 seconds, you lose the energy that the +15 adds. It's fine to change if you need energy for a skill, but you should run with a different weapon set, namely the sword/axe/spear and shield with bonuses mentioned above. Put energy +5 on the weapon. Get a Totem Axe; it has those mods, and it's easy to farm or buy it.

Nike's Cross-running shoes.
There's nothing better to run out there.
Ah, you mean in the game? Anything with a +20% enchantment duration enlarge wild do, the most effective running builds go on enchantments.

Gonna have to disagree and go with my ole Saucony's
And thanks, I didnt think the +15/-1e would be much of a problem but I'll switch it out with a +5e inscription.
Well I have the staff modded out and gonna give it a go when I get "I Am Unstoppable!" (forgot all about it :P)
If I were to go with a shield and weapon combo, would a "Run for Your Life" (-2 dmg) and a fortitude be okay say with the totem axe? I was thinking the staff would be better with all the energy bonuses, cause with the other things you hardly get any extra energy.
and sorry for all the questions, I've never done a run in my life and wanted to get everything out of the way before hand.

Run a -20% cripple duration rune and a -20% cripple duration shield, gives you a total 38% shorter cripple, which is VERY helpful.
Aside from that, lots of +armor vs phys and -damage from phys.
Also, this belongs in the Ranger section of The Campfire, so I've moved it

I always seem to forget expertise helps with energy management :P
But I just wanna say thanks for all the help guys. I spent like all day yesterday putting this guy together, had to cap like four skills lol
Anyways, thanks again. Hopefully I can get a hang of this running deal.

Get some sentry runes on your armor, seeing as you'll be in a stance at all times, that's some good bonus armor. Besides that, what's said above.

Depends where and how you run. You have 4 weaponsets plus swaps or armour and weapons from equipment. Use them.
Have a +armour set
have a +60hp set
+20% enchant can be useful depending on your build
I wouldn't recommend -cripple, if you don't have cripple remove/prevent then don't run where you will get crippled, get a better build. No excuse now we have "I am Unstoppable".
You shouldn't need much energy, if you do you probably have a bad build. But if you really must, sure, have a energy set to swap too. I've never bothered.
